Mountain Weekend

This past weekend was a great but short getaway to Blue Ridge, Georgia with two of our best friends Candace and Justin. The trip was short but lots of fun.  I think if we had had one more day it would have been perfect! The weather on Saturday was gorgeous but Sunday was dreary so we didn't even try to go for a hike.
The cabin that we stayed at was called the Wren's nest. This adorable little split level house was up the mountain with fabulous views and a cozy, welcoming vibe.

Breakfast at a little hole-in-the-wall restaurant called The Village was a great way to start our trip. Followed by downtown shopping and perusing.  Blue Ridge is a very dog friendly community so we got to love on lots of sweet babies in and out of stores.

After our downtown Blue Ridge excursion we headed to Murphy, NC (where Taylor and I actually honeymooned just over 5 years ago ❤) to go to a quaint little coffee shop, more antiquing, and to the casino! Taylor and Justin enjoyed a little time on the machines while Candace and I had ourselves a little drink and mainly people watched.

Later that afternoon we played card games and just spent quality time in conversation with Oreos.
We ate dinner at Harvest on Main which was probably the best meal I have had in quite awhile!
We came back to the cabin to spend the next 3 hours playing more card games. Spades and Uno were the games of choice this time. Taylor had the best quote of the evening after having just a little more than his fill of "vino."  "No, you're weird-- I just won Uno!" Bless- I am married to an interesting fella. haha

We loved being able to enjoy a relaxing weekend away with 2 of our best friends up in the mountains. We had no agenda, no schedule to follow, just a peaceful trip in a pretty location with even better friends!
